This is a count of women killed by known or suspected male violence in a Australia, jointly undertaken by Reclaim the Night Perth and Women Shout Out Australia.
Bendigo woman, Samantha Kelly, was found after being missing for three weeks since January 2016.
Ms Kelly’s housemates have been charged in relation to her murder with Peter Arthur confessing to killing her, Ronald Lyons apparently helping him move Ms Kelly’s body and Christine Lyons, apparently Peter Arthur’s partner, helping both men concoct a story regarding Ms Kelly’s disappearance.
Condolences go to Ms Kelly’s family and friends.
UPDATE: Ronald Lyons and Christine Lyons were later charged with the murder of Ms Kelly.
