This is a count of women killed by known or suspected male violence in a Australia, jointly undertaken by Reclaim the Night Perth and Women Shout Out Australia.
On February 18, 48 year old Prasad Somawansa was found dead in her Hopper’s Crossing house.
Mrs Prasad Somawansa, a breast cancer survivor, 48, was murdered by her sons friend Mr Sigaragh Baea, 21 of Lara, Victoria.
The man accused of killing a Hoppers Crossing mother in a feared “random attack” was her son’s former school friend.
Prasad Somawansa, 48, was found dead in her Hoppers Crossing home Thursday 18 February, 2016.
