#49 – Man Murders Woman 2016

In Memory Man Murders Woman 2016

On 6 October 2016, police attended Molly Goodbun’s home after receiving reports of shots being fired.

Molly Goodbun, 56, who had apparently taken out a Violence Restraining Order against her estranged husband, Keith Owen Goodbun in July 2016, was found dead at her Maitland home. Another woman, apparently one of her two daughters Ms Simmons, was present but unharmed.

News sources report that Ms Goodbun was allegedly shot on her front doorstep by her estranged husband in front of her daughter who tried to save her mother.

Police were allegedly confronted with an armed Mr Goodbun, 60, who was subsequently charged with murder and firearms offences.

We extend our deepest condolences to Ms Goodbun’s family and friends.
