We’re very sad to report the death of the 62nd woman to alleged male violence in Australia this year.
The body of Yvonne Parkes, 67, was found inside her Toronto NSW home last night where she had had allegedly been stabbed multiple times by her 51 year old partner Robert Cadman.
Earlier, Police were called to the scene of a crash on Macquarie Road in Fassifern around 10pm and found Robert Cadman with facial injuries. Two locals had called police after Mr Cadman allegedly attempted to leave the scene following a previous collision with another car.
During his arrest, Mr Cadman allegedly made comments which led police to search a home in William Street in Toronto where Ms Parkes’ body was found.
Mr Cadman was taken to John Hunter Hospital before being arrested at Belmont Police Station, where he was charged with murder. He has since been denied bail.
Our hearts go out to Ms Parkes’ 3 children, extended family & friends.
