It is with much sadness we report the death of the 37th woman to male violence in Australia this year.
Peta Fairhead, 27, died after being left at Joondalup Hospital in Perth’s northern suburbs on 3rd August 2016.
Two men, 19 and 20, were charged with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of kidnapping and one of murder on 5 August 2016. Police are still seeking a third man in relation to Ms Fairhead’s murder.
Our hearts go out to Ms Fairhead’s family & friends.
UPDATE: Three men, Lucas James Yarran, Leroy Daniel Smith, and Ross James Boag have each been charged with one murder charge, three kidnapping charges and three armed robbery charges.
UPDATE: the charges against the three accused men were downgraded to unlawful killing from the original murder charges.
