This is a count of women killed by known or suspected male violence in a Australia, jointly undertaken by Reclaim the Night Perth and Women Shout Out Australia.
Karen Chetcuti was last seen in her home town of Whorouly – in Victoria’s north east – on the 12th of January. Her burnt-out car was found 20 kilometres away with her body subsequently found in scrub near Lake Buffalo.
Ms Chetcuti‘s neighbour Michael Cardamone was charged with her murder.
Condolences go to Ms Chetcuti’s family and friends.
